Q-BOM Workshop : Sat 29th June 24
Quilt Block of the Month Workshop:
Come and learn some new techniques or refresh old ones. There will be a different Block each month learing new techniques of piecing and quilting as the months progress.
You can use these workshops in various ways:
- 3.5 hours of uninterupted sewing / me time with unlimited hot drinks, biscuits and possibly cake!!
- Learn a new block each month, socialise and ultimately have a scrappy sampler quilt at the end of the process (14 sessions will give you 12 blocks then 2 sessions to join them together and finish the quilt - finished size 36 x 48 inches)
- Learn a new block each month, socialise and the recreate at home. Blocks done together are prototypes and you then make in your own "proper" colour palette.
- Learn a new block each month and then create your own quilt patterns and quilt.
Everyones journey and take aways from these workshops will be different and that really is amazing xx
You will need to bring:
- sewing machine
- thread
- general sewing kit
Ideally: small cutting mat, rulers and rotary cutter, small ironing mat and quilters iron - but these can be shared. Please select below what you can bring.
Depending on the difficulty of the block you may have time to spare so you can either make another or bring your own projects and use the rest of the time for some selfish sewing.
Lets Q-BOM together.
(Venue will either be MIS HQ or Union Mills Methodist Church - Depending on numbers and mobility requirements)
